Workshops

Have you always wanted to learn how to identify and harvest edible and medicinal plants that grow in your own backyard? Would you like to know more about working with herbs to enhance your health and well-being? Do you want to learn how to make tea blends, salves, syrups, and more?

Introduction to herbal medicine

Participants will come away with an understanding of common herbal terminology and appropriate uses. Explore ways we can move away from the allopathic mindset of using herbs (ex: “echinacea is good for the immune system”), toward a paradigm that integrates whole, complex herbs with whole, complex beings.  Learn what it means for an herb to be standardized and how to read between the lines of recent herbal studies, as we unveil some of the common herbal myths. We will also begin to explore herbal energetics.
